What do I do if I have a multimedia presentation in a classroom without a mounted projector?

If your professor has assigned a presentation and you would like to show a video or use PowerPoint but you are not in Room A, D, or G, you can reserve a portable projector by the following process...

  1. Reservations must be made a week in advance! The more in advance your request is, the more likely we are able to fulfill it. We only have one portable projector and it is in heavy demand. Also, you want to leave yourself time to be trained.
  2. When you are finished reading these policies, go to the Multimedia Equipment Reservation webpage on this LCS website to request a reservation.
  3. Be prepared with times to meet our staff for training in how to set up the projector, if necessary.
  4. On the day of your presentation, go to the Law Library Circulation Desk with your student ID or driver's license and they will check the equipment out to you. We will not check equipment out to students without valid photo ID and a proper reservation. DO NOT CHECK OUT EQUIPMENT BEFORE YOUR RESERVATION, as we occasionally have different reservations in the course of a day.
  5. When you are finished with your presentation, bring the equipment back to the Circulation Desk. The equipment must be checked out and returned to the Circulation Desk during regular Library hours. The equipment must be returned to us in the same condition it left.

If you have comments or questions, please contact Academic Computing Support using the information on the LCS contact page.
