Generally speaking: The School of Law Information Services Department's Law Computing Support Office does not perform laptop repair. LCS' student support efforts instead focus on the computer labs, printers, and basic student laptop network connection problems.
However, the University does have a PC repair shop that handles student computer repair, subject to the availability of technicians and resources. You should contact the University Call Center (Tech Central) at (310) 506-4357 (x4357 from on-campus) and the problem will be entered in the Tech Central call tracking system. A technician will then call you to set up an appointment. Be prepared to give Tech Central your name, current telephone number, and a brief description of the problem. You may request a repair appointment, but 1-TRAC may wish to walk you through some troubleshooting before forwarding your request.
