Taking Exams on Computer

How do install SofTest?

Pepperdine law students MUST register with the Pepperdine Faculty Secretaries Office on the third floor in order to take their exams on their computers.

The deadlines to register with the Faculty Secretaries are as follows:
MIDTERMS: Register one week before exam date.
FINALS: Register by November 9, 2007.

If you do NOT have SofTest already installed, or you have a pre-Fall 2007/outdated version follow these steps to install and register SofTest (you must be connected to the internet):

  1. Visit http://www.examsoft.com/pepperdinelaw then click the 'Exam Takers' link at the bottom of the page.
  2. Log in using the ExamSoft Student ID and password which were emailed to your Pepperdine email account.
  3. Download & Install SofTest
  4. Launch SofTest and follow the on-screen instructions to take the Qualification Exam.
  5. Register SofTest using the ExamSoft Student ID and password which were emailed to you.

  6. After you register SofTest, you will receive a confirmation email.


Prior to the day of the exam you will need to download your exam file. If you do not download your exam file before the exam you will not be able to use ExamSoft. As a precaution please take your ExamSoft student ID and password into your exam with you.

IMPORTANT NOTES: Floppy disks and drives are no longer required to take your exams. All exams will be downloaded and submitted through a WIRELESS internet connection immediately after the exam. If you do not own a wireless card you can submit your exam through a wired connection immediately after the exam.
