Taking Exams on Computer

How do download my exam file?

Pepperdine law students MUST register with the Pepperdine Faculty Secretaries Office on the third floor in order to take their exams on their computers.

Prior to the day of the exam you will need to download your exam file; if the exam file is not downloaded before the exam you will not be able to use ExamSoft.

To download exams you must have your ExamSoft Student ID and password submitted during Step 1 of the registration process. The password can be changed on ExamSoft's website. As a precaution please take your ExamSoft student ID and password into your exam with you.

Downloading an Exam File
You can only download exam files once so only do so on the laptop you intend to use on exam day.

  1. Establish an Internet connection.
  2. Double-click the SofTest icon.
  3. Click the "Download Exam Files" button.
  4. Enter your ExamSoft Student ID and Password. Then click "Next".
  5. Select your exam from the list. Click the "Download" button.
  6. Continue to select and download your exams until you have downloaded an exam file for each exam.

If your class exam is not listed please talk with someone in the Faculty Secretary's office.

If you experience technical problems, please see "How Do I Contact ExamSoft for Support?".
