Burning a CD
Windows XP
  1. Be sure that you have a CD-RW drive in your computer.  (Most have "CD-Rewritable" or similar printed on the door.)
  2. Get a CD-R or CD-RW disk (faculty can get one from the Faculty Secretaries).  Insert the disk in your CD drive.
  3. Double-click on the My Computer icon on your desktop or Start Menu.
  4. Double click on the D: drive.
  5. Drag and drop (or copy and paste or Save As) the files you wish to copy to CD to the My Computer window.
  6. When you have all the files in the window that you wish to burn to CD, click Write these files to CD.  (If you do not see the link on the left side of the My Computer window, look for it on the File menu at the top of the My Computer window.)
Windows 2000
  1. Go to Start and then Programs.
  2. Choose a program called Adaptec CD Creator then click on Easy CD Creator
  3. Click Create Data CD as many times as asked.
  4. On the top panel locate the file(s) you want to copy onto the CD and then drag the file(s) to the panel on the bottom.
  5. Then choose the Create CD button and allow the files to copy to the CD.
