- How do I know if my virus protection software is up-to-date on my University owned machine?

- Pepperdine provides virus protection software to every Pepperdine employee who connects to the Pepperdine network. The Trend OfficeScan Monitor has been configured to automatically check for viruses as you use your computer. You don't need to do anything to keep this protection up to date either! The software will automatically upgrade itself whenever necessary as long as you are connected to the Pepperdine network and the Trend Icon is running in the System Tray (look for the little computer in the blue circle in the bottom right hand corner of the computer screen). Every so often you may need to restart your computer to obtain the latest version of Trend. To make sure you have the latest Trend Pattern version please hold your mouse over the Trend icon (bottom right) to see your version and compare it to the Current Pattern version (found here).
