FIX to Outlook Offline Folder error
If you receive an error in Outlook that states:
"The Offline Folder file cannot be used in this profile. Your administrator has set a policy that allows you to use only those Offline Folder file that provide great storage capacity and support multilingual Unicode data."
That means your emails have been upgraded to the new email server! (If you haven't received this error yet, it's likely that you will soon--please DO NOT delete this email until you have made the change.)
Please follow the steps
  1. Start Outlook 2003.
  2. Click OK.
  3. The OST file needs to be recreated. Either delete the old one and recreate outlook.ost or rename the OST file.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Click Yes.
  6. Now we need to get the new Offline Address Book (OAB).
  7. In Outlook 2003, go to Tools > Send/Receive > Download Address Book.
  8. Click OK.
